Website Redesign

Website Redesign - Sample Websites

Although very similar to designing a website, this website redesign page focuses specifically on redesigning and implementing a new look for an existing website. Be sure and visit my page on website design if you are interested in my website design services, procedure or philosophy, or just to get a better idea of my website design process in general.

Website Redesign Philosophy

Philo•sophy - a system of principles for guidance in practical affairs.

My website redesign philosophy consists of utilizing valuable strategic advantages that redesigning a website has to offer, along with making sure that the website redesign is everything the client wants and more.

Redesigning a website allows Bjorn Enki to learn a lot. Not only from my clients, but also from any existing metrics and statistics of the web site's performance so far. This helps ensure that your website redesign will prove valuable both in appearance and results. Taking advantage of information such as which topics may be valuable to increase the content, products, or services regarding, which pages users don't like to stay on for very long, and which elements are most often clicked, along with countless others, allows Bjorn Enki to gain a thorough understanding of your website and how many aspects of it may be improved.

I also acknowledge the importance of understanding exactly what my clients would like to accomplish with their website redesign. Whether I end up making many suggestions or the clients' ideas and goals align perfectly with my metric analysis and recommendations, I ensure that we work together utilizing their experience along with my findings to strategically plan and proceed with the website redesign.

Website Redesign Services

Website Redesign services offered by Bjorn Enki

My website redesign services range from minor graphical changes of images or animations to complete overhauls of a web site's structure, layout, and overall design.

Also included in my website redesign process is the analysis of your website from a performance standpoint, allowing us to better understand which elements may be most important to alter while we are still in the (re)design phase. Redesigning a website presents tremendous opportunity for improvement in a web site's structure, layout, navigation, and appearance in general - and I ensure that we make the most of it.

If my clients are not completely satisfied with my redesigns I take it upon myself to modify them - all of my redesigns come with up to 3 rounds of design modifications at no additional cost.

A website is the first introduction many potential customers or clients will have to a company, so it's imperative to convey the right message - and quick. Research shows that the average user actually spends only four seconds determining whether the website or web page they landed on is right for their needs. A web site's design and image should complement rather than contradict the attitude of a business as well as any off-line promotional materials, helping establish a brand and build customer and client interest, trust, and confidence.

Website Redesign Procedure

My website redesign process involves four steps;

1. Research & Preparation

First, I prepare for a consultation by reviewing as much information as is available in terms of the web site's performance up until now. Statistics such as which pages are most popular, which pages visitors often leave your website from, the prominence of various pages, the common operating system/web browser and screen resolutions of your visitors and so on will all influence my viewpoint, greatly helps Bjorn Enki notice areas of improvement to be more prepared overall for our consultation. The way that design elements are implemented and their effect on the websites search engine performance, cross-compatibility, and other important factors which can literally make or break a web site's performance are also examined.

2. Consultation

Being fully prepared, I will then consult with my client regarding my findings - listening to their ideas and reasons for wanting a website redesign, while contributing ideas and suggestions based upon my research. Usually clients interested in redesigning their website already have some ideas of what they like and don't like about their web site's design, layout and/or structure and what they are looking to change. Armed with my research from the previous step, I am able to best discuss my clients' desires, align them with my findings and suggestions, and prepare for a proposal and quote that will guide us forward.

3. Review & Approval

Review and approval is imperative before launching a website redesign and it is therefor very important to Bjorn Enki that clients are able be a part of as much of the process as they want. Depending on the size, programming and nature of the website which is being redesigned I will provide various means of keeping my clients involved throughout the redesign process.

4. Implementation

Once I have approval, I implement the website redesign into the existing website in the most seamless and efficient way possible - outlined step by step in my proposal. Depending on the website in question, the complexity and scope of a website redesign varies greatly. Either way, I am very aware of the importance of seamless integration and thus apply my changes in a way that will have the least impact on the website and its visitors.
