Website Promotion - Search Engine Marketing

Web Promotion Philosophy

Philo•sophy - a system of principles for guidance in practical affairs.

The difference between having a website which only people who know the address of will visit and having a website that shows up on search engines for relevant search terms can easily make or break a company. Many companies would either do a lot worse or not even exist at all without their search rankings or Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising. Likewise, a majority of companies could take their business to a whole new level with strategic website promotion services.

A study conducted by icrossing determined that of the (roughly) 73% of US Americans that frequently go online; around 54% will rather search the internet than use phone books or yellow pages, and about 51% use search engines regularly for shopping or researching products or services.

Search engines are often the one place where most potential customers or clients are shopping for your products or services. In such cases, I believe search engines should also be the largest source of business for your company.

Whether you're a company that provides local services seeking better business or would like to sell more products internationally online - If your company, product, or service is not to be found through a search engine, you're ensuring that a large portion of your target audience won't know you exist.

I believe that any business that should value search engine listings for their website, based on what I said above, could benefit from my SEO services. I also believe that any such business also has a specific Pay Per Click (PPC) budget and campaign setup that would prove valuable to their company.

Web Promotion Services

Website promotion services offered by Bjorn Enki

My website promotion services include two forms of search engine marketing; Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising.

Both SEO and PPC involve increasing the amount of visitors your website receives from search engines for valuable search terms by enabling your website to appear on the Google, Yahoo, MSN, AOL, ASK, and many other search engines for valuable key terms or phrases.

The performance and results of SEO & PPC are also both track-able, making practically everything regarding your web site's visitors, traffic sources, and the performance of your content available for analysis, performance measurements and strategic future planning. This makes measuring the effects of search engine optimization or pay per click campaigns extremely valuable yet quite simple, and allows me to focus on the types of traffic that prove most valuable to your website.

While both SEO and PPC involve making a website appear on search engines for relevant search terms, their differences lie in which section the results appear in on the Search Engine Result Pages (SERPS), and the method each are approached and achieved. PPC advertisements also take effect immediately, whereas the results of SEO, while often more valuable, may take much more time to establish results.

The two sections under which SEO and PPC links appear on SERPS include what are usually referred to as "natural" or "organic" listings, and "sponsored" or "paid" results. In appearance, the only difference between the two is their actual location on the SERPS - Organic links make up the main portion of the SERP, while sponsored listings generally appear to the right side of the page and are usually titled "sponsored results".

Organic results are usually numbered, and by default appear 10 at a time on each page of the SERPS. All it takes for a website to appear on a SERP is one link from another website that is listed. However, as the amount of clicks each link receives declines exponentially for any search term as you go down the list of results, it is imperative to be as high up on the list as possible. As such, SEO involves making a website appear high up on the list of results.

On the other hand, sponsored (PPC) links are not displayed for any websites by default, no matter how high up on the list a website is organically. Sponsored links are called Pay Per Click advertisements because the sponsor pays each time their listing is clicked. Sponsored links are created and managed online, and everything from how the listing appears, which search terms it shows up for, and how high up on the list it will be listed (much you will pay per click) is controlled by me as the advertiser.

Web Promotion Procedure

Bjorn Enki's search engine marketing process

For either SEO or PPC i start by assessing the website to be promoted. I analyze which search terms are most commonly used to find the products or services you are looking to capture traffic for, the web site's current performance for future comparison and forward planing, and competitive analysis allowing me to determine how to best compete for your keywords.

Depending on my findings I may suggest either SEO, PPC, or often both. I will create a proposal and quote detailing what I suggest doing, the cost, and the time it will take.

For PPC advertising, I will use my assessment findings to establish campaigns that are tailored to generate traffic in the most valuable way possible. PPC also offers the advantage of monitoring and adjusting your campaigns in real-time, making it relatively easy to find the most valuable campaign setup for your website.

For SEO, I will use my assessment findings to determine which methods of promotion should prove most effective for your website. I will modify your website to ensure search engines recognize and index your valuable content. I will also look for websites that links from would be valuable and figure out ways to obtain them along with coming up with content that would inspire links on its own.
